82% renewable by 2030... The only way that could be achieved, is by large scale storage.

The vanadium tech is tested. It also fits with Larry Marshall's recent press club address about a domestic renewables industry, mined and manufacturered in Australia. The question that the CSIRO chief put forward is whether we can pull it off, and not let another world leading opportunity slip away from us (like wifi or conventional solar panels - both aussie birthed inventions).

Lithium ion is unfit for this purpose, for a number of already stated reasons. Vanadium redox flow is the logical choice currently.

Expect to see significant further institutional investment. We have a motivated public, government, and very large superannuation funds with stated intentions to benefit from Australia's rise as a 'renewables superpower'.
