As per the statement, they have used the Reverse Circulation (RC) method. It is not coring.
This method allows to fully recover samples continuously.
Quick installation
The penetration rate is fast.
The analysis is performed on cuttings and cuttings are not very presentable- basically sand with some gravel.
Basically, if you need to evaluate quickly large intervals you would use RC method. If you need to define more precise parameters at certain depth point you use coring ( which is very slow and more expensive).
