Even still, the numbers are funny... you'd imagine the negotiation was around an agreed lump sum.
1334 acres... so AVL offer $2.8m, based on what land is going for in the area... and if the owner accepted, the rate would be a smidgen over $2099 per acre. Instead, it's $2,100/acre for a value of $2,801,400.
Does it matter? No. But I'm a curious bloke. And when things aren't obvious, I like to know why!
