Fortescue has committed to a US$2.8 billion deal with Liebherr to supply battery electric mining vehicles, including 360 autonomous haul trucks, 55 excavators & 60 dozers.
Plus Fort has another deal with XCMG for $600 mill worth of battery electric wheel loaders, dozers, water carts, prime movers & graders.
Plus their own design 6MW fast chargers to charge the electric trucks.
So ‘never’ is underway.
