To me, that is a great idea. Hopefully already under consideration. Since we seem to be late to the party vfb wise, ‘packages’ as you outlined could be the competitive advantage we need once we do have our own pit to battery saleable product.
Some of the haul trucks etc I noted above are designed as rechargeable as a whole unit - others as quick swap battery packs. Both obviously would work with solar/vrb infrastructure.
Fortescue is building large rapid chargers. BHP/Rio seem to be going for CAT battery swap packs.
