I deeply suspect Tenindewa has got the nod, besides reduces transport costs for chemical reagents, water, gas, and lower staff wages/accommodation costs, because of it's proximity to Geraldton.

Why do I think that's important?

In Western Australia, you have a 1 in 48 chance of being a victim of crime, which is already well ahead of the national average of 1 in 95.

In Geraldton this number is 1 in 7. Seven times higher than the WA average, and 13.5x the rest of Australia as a whole.

AVL have already had ICN Gateway visit the electrolyte facility. I engage with ICN through my work, not only will they try to get AVL onto BESS projects, they will also help AVL employ disadvantaged people such as Indigenous Australians, people with disabilities, people who have been incarcerated etc.

In my opinion besides reduced transport costs for gas, water, chemicals etc., Tenindewa opens us up to a plethora of different funding options.
