They haven't released the updated OFS, so we can't know for sure what maths they've used.
I deeply suspect Tenindewa has got the nod, besides reduces transport costs for chemical reagents, water, gas, and lower staff wages/accommodation costs, because of it's proximity to Geraldton.

One of the best ways to fight crime is to provide people with employment. Providing employment is a key criteria for NAIF (Northern Australia infrastructure fund that operates in WA/NT/QLD) and ARENA.
AVL have already had ICN Gateway visit the electrolyte facility. I engage with ICN through my work, not only will they try to get AVL onto BESS projects, they will also help AVL employ disadvantaged people such as Indigenous Australians, people with disabilities, people who have been incarcerated etc.
In my opinion besides reduced transport costs for gas, water, chemicals etc., Tenindewa opens us up to a plethora of different funding options.
