I can understand comments/concerns around having to truck ore all the way to Geraldton - having to organise logistics and costs.
My guess, and optimism, is that AVL have been discussing options with another WA company FEX. They have iron ore mine near Cue and full road train fleet to Geraldton port including port infrastructure for loading. FEX's future strategy is to use the logistics and infrastructure businees to unlock value across the MidWest including multiple commodities. For over a year now Chairman has been spruiking discussions with multiple partners across MidWest, but not named specific companies.
AVL would seem a logical fit with FEX strategy. I'm hoping the AVL OFS sheds specific details on logistics strategy, and I hope to see FEX's involvement.
