So Security Transfer are a service provider for AVZ providing the service of managing their shareholder registry? And they charge $275 for providing a copy of the registry that is how up to date? T+2?
From a quick look at their website I see they (Security Transfer Australia) are a member of the Securities Registrar Association. I'm learning all this for the first time. Whose website (http://sraa.asn.au/company-registers.html) says
It seems like $275 is quite a lot for a Top 20.
I saw your reference to birimian as an example of a company that keeps the Top 20 pretty up to date and, comparatively, readily available on its website. Nice, but I checked FMG - they have theirs but only as recent as 30 January.
I realise that the real meat in you posts on Top-20 are the information in them, but I don't think that information is being appreciated as much as it might be (including by me) because many posters aren't understanding what it means - what the obligations are to keep it up to date and useable for the sorts of ownership investigating you are looking at.
