There's nothing wrong with people putting in research. I often do it, though i'm usually not compelled to post about it.

I really don't see the big huff puff to be honest.
-The Kipoi project came up on the GRES website. No issue there?
-"Here is the big questions!! in CAPS" It was only updated on the 12/07. WHY! - Really? Perhaps it was brought to the company's attention that the project was missing from the website, and perhaps they should update the website to reflect it. No issue there?
-It's very very common practice in the engineering consultancy industry and have various sub-contractors to work through.

-no transparency on experience in the DRC. I searched africa & DRC. there probably a few more that i've missed or aren't on the website either.

I'd much prefer a consultancy with significant experience in the west (great quality plants) and exposure in the africa space (which they do). It's probable there's a couple more they've forgotten to add. I don't think it's important at all for the DFS. It's more important they get the plant design correct. For e.g. look at the currently Aus producers. turns out no one got their DFS spot on either. Thats Aus mobs doing in aus studies. lol. Opex's are abhorrently higher than indicated. Any Africa specific information or costing could be easily obtain by contacting local or specialist firms.

Regardless, It's highly likely that this NewPro is a spin-off company old mate decided to kick off on his own. Again highly likely that GRES engages them as a specialist sub-contractor for specific parts of the studies or projects.

If you've ever worked at a eng consultancy or even an engineering firm at monadelphous etc, its actually very common to have several sub-contractors completing with specialist services.

For e.g. when i engaged CPC a number of months ago to complete a mutli-million piping re-design for Citic Pacific there was a specialist consultancy which completely the flow analysis and solidworks modelling. They had the in-house capability, but i was expediting the project, it was more cost effective the engage a specialist resource on a contractual basis to to do the heavy lifting and then have the in house team review the findings.

If you're serious about having your questions answered, i reckon a phone call to GRES or NewPro would suffice your needs.
