Whilst I have some differences in opinion with you, including around what the spodumene price will settle at long term as feel the price would be more attune to a US$600 per tonne to US$700 per tonne range, it is good to see you have articulated your views well. I certainly agree with your views that the Chinese don't, at times as they play games, honour contracts (especially in downturns), and ensuring you get some non-Chinese customers onboard with gigafactories and chemical conversion plants outside China is a must IMO.
If the LCE trajectory to 2000 GWh LCE demand to 2030 is as is forecast, there will be plenty of opportunity for a number of new greenfields players to enter the market, including this side of 2025. I don't think sovereign and transport risk is as high as some are implying, which were issues more recently discussed in the Road to Manono thread, but that is IMO (and others can see the posts in that thread especially around teh fact Ivanhoe is basically using the same rail route as AVZ is proposing to use). Obviously IMO I see AVZ becoming a miner a lot earlier than what you are suggesting, but obviously that is IMO, and ultimately it boils down to demand scenarios eventuating.
All good.
