Well that would certainly reduce the SC6 tonnage to be shipped if you move from 6% concentrate to 46.5%. An approx 7-8x reduction in bulk and corresponding drop transport cost!.
However I wonder what it needs "processing circuit" wise that is different from a PLS plant. If just a few steps different then OK but if it requires a whole new standalone processing circuit (apart from PLS) they I would suggest they would prob have to choose between production of PLS or Lithium Oxide as their primary upstream product. It is also important to remember that ultimately medium term I think the AVZ desire is to produce Hydroxide onsite. So which upstream product PLS or Lithium Oxide brings us closer to that outcome and is a logical stepping stone?
So question really is at what cost to produce onsite Oxide vs Primate Lithium Sulphate... and what implications does that have for further upstream processing ambitions.? A simple cost benefit analysis I would think. Perhaps not so simple!
