two mentions, first one during presentation easily missed, does not say “lithium oxide” but infers another option alongside lithium sulphate. I seem to recall this as a European nexus.
next was in Q&A: “the question was can African countries produce the product other than just mine it. He reiterated that AVZ will do this quite easily then emphasised could also be oxide”
So, there appears scope for lithium oxide at minesite. A JV could mean elsewhere but, the idea seems to be to consolidate value and decarbonise.
as for some comparison, FFX did mention early in their scoping study lithium oxide, but fail to later mention it. In fact they can’t or have yet to report testwork for sulphate. But in any case there is a conversation happening, and Nigel seems to think it is viable already to have mentioned it. I think he tried to keep a lid on it but Q&A question prompted him to say more
