While your enthusiasm to promote the main menu for AVZ is appropriate, the DRC is also mindful that to alleviate poverty it needs to better organise artisanal miners which thousands of Congolese are involved in.
And the MLTO including artisanal work is no exception, in fact, it is arguable that AVZ’s continued focus on tin mining whilst it improves the bottom line is also about maximising jobs, and there may be more jobs in the artisanal tin aspect of the project than the lithium so this is a political directive, that, applies country wide, and ultimately as the plan goes stabilises the country even more. Taxing artisanal trade is there too.
So while the State benefits (and AVZ shareholders and it’s lithium customers) that does not necessarily translate through to aiding the poor en masse the tin does. And that’s huge for the success of AVZ embedded in a community.
Has AVZ provided a means for anyone to donate to the AVZ foundation to help Manono locals?
Perhaps Dathomir can donate $10,000,000 USD?
