In this case though I think the signers of our MOU's (and there is supposedly more - withheld on confidentiality conditions) are likely the potential suitors for the resource outside Huayou. Obviously at this stage of the game when people know what the plan is you aren't going to sign BOA's. So both sides of this MOU know this is part of the song and dance. The only real way to secure supply from this resource is to buy it out or try and sign a BOA with the buyer.

Greatpower have fired the first shot by allowing themselves to be named. Now other parties know they aren't the only hat in the ring. Game on from here.

Binwood I don't think MOU's are worthless if they are with big parties and will actually lead to something. I would of much rather seen Airguide get a billion dollar company that is in the space, instead of the constant rumours of not being allowed to announce them.

More often then not we see that they don't. Greatpower from all accounts from @Haplo have invested 200RMB in lithium cobalt etc, thats $30 million USD. That will get you 10% of AVZ fully diluted. Essentially unless they intend on expanding their budget by 30 times the current amount they won't do anything for the ale price of AVZ.

I think any serious bidder for AVZ will just do a quick google search and realise Greatpower aren't a threat.
