Of course, the resources of the DRC do belong to the people of the DRC.

But their government should be doing a lot better job in getting as much as possible out of their resources for the betterment of their 112 million of citizens. And they do one lousy job, an example is how they've been treating AVZ for the last ~1.5 year, instead of facilitating AVZ getting the Manono Project up and running.

If the DRC, as you say "nationalized everything and kicked the parasites out", that would be the worst possible thing from the standpoint of the DRC gov't and people of that country.

How do you imagine this would work in their favour?
Do they have the know-how and expertise to bring all existing and not-yet-existing projects from the exploration stage to the production stage?

How many years would it take them - for example, by the time they could do it on their own, the lithium boom could be over and lithium become somewhat an obsolete mineral.

And, maybe more importantly, does the DRC can afford it, do they have funds for it?

They DO need foreign companies, they just need to have a better and smarter approach.

they are smart enough to take the brown bags / that’s all. Other than that they had no foresight into repercussions as it’s the norm for DRC. China will loose millions in trying to steal our project - they should have done it sooner - they left there run too late - we are too advanced in defining the resource in our favour. The DRC will do a deal with us when we win the next 2 rounds - game on
