By the end of all this nonsense, I predict Zijin would have spent 300 mil USD and get absolutely nothing for it. We know about 100 mil USD+ in bribes currently. I anticipate there is roughly 100 mil or so tied up in secretive bribes. Then you have all their operating costs in Manono and refurbishment of the plant. Plus, their insane legal costs.
Imagine if they just offered 300 mil to be a partner in this project back in 2021. They would have had a better spot at the table than CATH.
