I've been wondering where the photo of one Energy Pod in the FB post that accompanies the announcement above is from. This is the Redflow FB post from 25 March at 10:38, I didn't re post it at the time coz I had questions;


I had few ideas, none of them checked out.

Then I began to wonder, solar panels and wind turbines in the distance, mostly pasture, a bit flat. Kerlunk. I checked out the departure image of the pod being sent off to Acciona in Spain, also in FB, a fair bit further down, from 18 December 2023, looks rather similar, including the mounting hardware.

"Additionally, the project will combine Redflow's zinc-bromine flow batteries with the solar assets at ACCIONA Energía’s Montes Del Cierzo clean energy innovation center in Spain."

Also lots of wind farms in the general area. It might be this site - Fotovoltaica de "Montes de Cierzo", sans concrete pads which might be fairly recent, there are some faint earth works in the Google Earth image from 2023 which might be pre pour. Or it might be somewhere completely different

We have been told the Energy Pod for Acciona was being commissioned on site a couple of months ago I think. Maybe they had this picture kind of just floating around........
