not desirable but the industry will learn from it and move on to even deeper water - 1500m is shallow

the robotic capability already developed is amazing

if you have been following it the impact so far has not been as severe as first imagined - time will tell but most of the oil is probably still deep sub surface at 4degC as a sludge being decomposed by the benthic organisms

Insurance - premiums would be going higher I suppose as insurers hate to pay out - How much insurance claw back will BP get ?
