Not at all a dumb question, it's a confusing concept and not entirely clear in the announcement but that is also my understanding, though all trading from the 2nd til 15th April are on a deferred settlement basis so technically you would consider the 1st of April as Trading day 1, and April 16th as trading day 2 with all day in between trading as if the consolidation was in place but without the trades being settled until the 16th.
I've been through the ASX listing rules and couldn't get a clear example to provide support, hopefully we get an announcement tomorrow to clarify.
