agree with NewB - think that Eli was probably tossing around situation with paying the legals and from a cost/benefit analysis and chances of win may have thought that it wasn't worth it.
maybe the impact of generics is going to be on a larger scale than had been envisaged and maybe the medicos over in the USA will more likely prescribe the generics?.
would love to know if the lapsing of a patent this month I think had any impact on Eli decision as well.
IMO it would have been Eli that would've pulled the plug and ACR had no choice - I don't know what was in the original royalty agreement and what the out clauses may have been. and realistically lets face it ACR would not want to be drawn out in a long costly legal battle over this given that the main source of funding the company has now GONE!
really IMO need a complete sweep out at the top - for quite a while hand sitting and enjoying the fruits of previous CEO agreement and not really getting on with the pipeline IMO!!! also now wondering how long this has been in the wind for and whether it played any role in largest SH leaving and also the recent pumps and dumps that appeared to have occurred - could never understand how price could increase on no news - or it could all just be coincidental! all IMO and just thinking out aloud.
at the end of the day - this is disasterous! $0.155 here we come!
