Is an absurd statement. The Vodaphone market share is so low it's not even worth mentioning. Why would he even mention it other than to bolster some very weak logic.

On ABC this morning a financial analysts said that the ACCC may be emboldened by the banking royal commission. It thinks it can predict what these companies might do in the future and justify that as a reason to block.

The ACCC "predicts" Vodaphone going from a 0.X% fixed line market share to being a dominant player. It predicts TPG spending many millions rolling out yet another mobile network (plus 5G). They must have a time machine.

I think they have been acting pretty vengefully towards the Telco industry since they effectively banned the use of the word "upto" and required everyone to use a new made up acronym to add clarity (e.g. NBN12 instead of upto 12Mbps).

But still, rational arguments are the only way forward.
