Interesting that the ACCC statement refers to “queries by various stakeholders”. Is this AQZ agitating for an outcome so it can get on with its life? I imagine the stake is problematic to AQZ as it negotiates with the new owners of Virgin over ongoing wet lease charters. Also problematic for AQZ if it seeks ACCC clearance to purchase Virgin Australia Regional Airline. Better for all if ACCC would get off the fence and make a call that either QAN can have a controlling stake or needs to sell out of AQZ completely. Current inability to make a decision not working for anyone (other than perhaps QAN).
