Most odd for it to increase seemingly on his news where IMO it was unlikely to be opposed when there is possible claims coming. Lot of the areas in NSW are uninsurable high risk so i don't expect a lot of exposure. Being on rivers that have flooded regularly however any higher peaks and also other insurance arms being automotive and business may have higher claims. Even with Auto claims insurers are getting smarter in regards to business and parked address. Very sad top see the news reports showing so many tradies cars underwater - that is a hell of a lot of tools and dual cab landcruisers in a very compact expensive claim. etc Not sure if IAG are underwriting any council policy for infrastructure nor business continuation insurances but I haven't seen comment on that before so suspect they are not a large player?
Hope rain ends soon as it is cumulative fatigue on services every day and more damage leading to longer recovery for residents. Hope government is quick to offer support and get regions affected councils residents and businesses suitable support to get back on their feet as it is a wonderful and very productive area. Substantial parts will be drenched but not flooded so part of community community should get on top of it quickly but farmers will be struggling for a long while as usual.
