So if we split that big business up into 1,000,000 smaller businesses and they made $1,000 profit that’s ok? Because it’s the same aggregate profit. The larger business ends up delivering the consumer cost savings which you’re not factoring in huge economies of scale and the funding saving. NO ONE will lend or provide money to a tiny micro bank at the same rate as CBA simply due to risk.
Profit isn’t a dirty word. It’s what ends up paying taxes for everything we see. Australia actually excessively taxes as it is compared to our western peers. Hence the country going backwards outside mining. We can’t compete. But this is well beyond you to likely comprehend given ‘$1 billion in profit is profanity’
