I would be extremely supprised if there was an on market takeover.
Most likely private negociations if any at all. I must admit PRU is sitting very pretty right now. Lots of good news to come, the only possible downside is a fall in the POG - of course this will be hedged in Australian ownership with a strengthening USD.
Wouldn't be suprised to see a trading halt some time this year. There are a lot of cashed up gold miners out there.
