They are only extending so they can grab as many shares at 17c as possible. I don't think they can comprehend that most who have not accepted yet will not accept, but at the same time it is inevitable they will get some more acceptances during the extension and thus it is worth it for them - probably. At the same time it is a desperate effort to get as many at 17c as possible.
