We hold these in Australia too. Surely you've watched Paul present infront of investors before eg. in Sydney? Same deal except deeper and serious pockets. Tony Sage attended this same event multiple times, now he's listing EUR's Wolfsberg project on Nasdaq (tomorrow).

What this looks like to me (for AZL) is a late invitation but I'm glad Blumberg is not (or should I say no longer) twiddling his thumbs. That was my perception anyway.

The thing about capital raising, your best way to predict the future is to do something to make it come true. Plant the seeds. Water it regularly and consistently. Then later watch it grow. The fruits of your labour depends on how good you are at caretaking those networks.

Let's see how good of a C-Suite he really is other than having the cash to front up for an Exec Director business card. Chances are he's probably not bad. But US fund managers (which he is one of them) are brutal and capital raising is intensely competitive. Unless he's already got the network prior to presenting at the event, he'd be wise to bring with him a salesperson.

I get snarky to these things as ultimately it's a networking event of the rich and wannabes, so I will reserve my judgement based on results. It's nice to be included in the agenda and able to speak at the conference nonetheless. Entrance fee (which he would have paid) is pretty high for a reason. Cheers
