Crazy share price increase given that the issue with Balama has never been a few "protestors" blocking access - the mine isn't profitable and SYR is fast running out of cash. Now the company has access to its own property to do what exactly...? Lose more money mining a product they've never been able to sell or process at scale?
I actually think SYR were happy to have the "protestors" there so they had an excuse not to mine or deliver anything. The minor issue of an apparent small number of local "protestors" could have been solved on the day it started by paying a few bribes. I live in Africa and this is the way things are done here - nobody is protesting for months unless they are getting paid by someone to be there.
