For interest Mozambique news on graphite ....bit to ponder here ! Whilst not to do with Syrah , I happened to notice these two Items on the Club of Mozambique website , apparently released overnight . A Chinese company Funded graphite operation , starting up in another Province of Moz. Mozambique steps up graphite production with Niassa’s Nipepe operation | Club of Mozambique Mozambique: Graphite boosts economy in Nipepe, Niassa | Club of Mozambique Just seems strange/co-incidental , that this Operation gets some coverage ...and promotes that the Moz Govt wants to encourage business , at the same time Syrah's Balama finally resolves its local disputes and flags Operations are about to resume . Perhaps this this Chinese operation is a good thing ..insofar as its graphite production has only one destination ..China . And Syrah can then concentrate and negotiate other Western World /USA/Europe/Japan/ South Korea needs . Some negatives I can think of also ..like work force competition ..but will leave that to another day . But you would think that if the Moz Govt is smart , it will ensure both companies/graphite operations tick along smoothly , as a big source of Govt revenue .......and also stimulates USA to encourage US car /battery industries to support Vidalia and to increase its Plant size for growing demand ??!! Comparing the two graphite deposits ..not sure that source material is available , but would think its hard pressed to match size /grade /life span of Balama !
