Thanks all for the entertainment on the BDC threads. Thanks to Stormer for being the biggest curmudgeon I have ever come across, JP Sun for being the biggest stirrer and belatedly to Nugget Fever for keeping me guessing as to whether we were being played or not (I mean by him).
Have no ready answers for why this one has failed to fire to date. Dont know the Board either personally or by reputation so cant offer firm comment about their reputation but am now beginning to wonder if maybe previous success came with some baggage which is being reflected in attractiveness. I also wonder if the multi-pit scenario is a downer.
Certainly some good things such as proximity to workforce, infrastructure and so on, and no doubt it wasnt rated as one of the best projects around for nothing.
Not a particularly experienced investor. Learned a lot here, including about the long-term impacts of capital-raising and enjoyed (I think it was) Stormers observation that the alphabet was running out of letters to notate shares issued to the team. Truth told dilution is basically why I am getting out. Decided I prefer my developers at the fully-funded stage either because they have other cash-generating assets or because the capital-raising is complete. Still leaves plenty of time to ride the escalator even if the ride is not as high.
