A deal with Quickstep Holdings (QHL) who manufacture carbon fibre resin parts for the JSF35 jet and C130 Hercules in USA, would be a great break through. AXE in Adelaide. Quicksteps in Sydney.
They are working closely with Audi about quantities of parts. Not "we might try RST Technology", it's now a question of how much.
A USA carbon fibre Co signed a deal with BMW in 2009 and BMW are now putting $100mill towards the production of parts for their top of the range models. There are 10,000 on order and a few already in use. The process used is inferior in many ways to QHL's RST Technology.
I believe once Audi start using RST technology parts, there will be a rush to get on board with the European car manufacturers.
I suspect BMW will regret doing the deal in 2009 while carbon fibre technology was in its infancy.
So QHL is going to want a definitive supply of top grade graphite.
Come on AXE, get talking to them!!
p.s. I have told AXE this but didn't even get a response.
