You have completely missed the point. Big multi or not Tullow chose to invest somewhere that you feel carries sovereign risk. For the record Tullow are not a generations old company having only comparatively recently evolved, but the real point was that regardless of your perceived risk, Hardman, a small Australian company had great success exploring in Mauritania.
For those who do not know the Hardman story, they built exploration reserves and were bought out by Tullow.
