Prices for +593 +594, and +595 are higher than BSM reports for its sales, as most of what they ship goes to processors who require a 20% to 30% discount of market prices. Anyone can view public records of any shipping port where graphite is embarked, even Madagascar, see to where and who the shipments are going to based on the BOL or shipping manifest. BSM ships quite a bit of coarse flake product to India and Germany for crucible applications.
There are many Chinese producers, who do not report exclusively to the main market price reporting firms, where prices are at a higher level that what BSM sells their flake. Keep in mind in my previous post there are issues with clay / high carbonate ore including higher pH values and higher Al2O3 values. Those markers are not compatible with foils due to clay based ores having higher oxidation rates that other flake signatures including those in Canada. Canada coarse flake prices are higher in price and considered the reference flake for foils by major foil manufacturers.
