IMO the issue is technical shellbell not sales. They are unable to produce more than 1000 tonnes per quarter (4000tpa) despite touted nameplate capacity of the plant at 6000tpa. Personally after the experience learned from previous owners stratmin who did achieve a throughout of 3000tpa (albeit at lower purity) and then bsm management running themselves the plant upgrading it annd learning by doing and then refurbishment and then upgrade again...i am still shocked that all they were able to achieve was 4000tpa after years trying since the stratmin days.

they have mainly two big issues :
1- they are not mining enough tonnes at sufficiently high grade (4%). They clearly need more mining trucks and excavators and better selective mining techniques and skills.

2- their forefront processing plant equipment is small/weak and clearly unable to handle higher than 4000tpa (the scrubber and vibrating separator)...this means a failed refurbishment of the plant....all the millions of dollars spent to achieve just 4000tpa ? They needed much bigger/more robust equipment.

to solve the first challenge they are now thinking about hydraulic mining due to the clay near surface nature of the deposit (no rocks). To solve the second challenge they need to replace the forefront processing equipment to a bigger robust one (some 5 million$). IMO the floating and grinding equipment are sufficient no need to change.

this is what happens when you under engineer your plant. Ironically they repeated the same stratmin mistakes
