It appears that hydraulic mining has been applied for graphite mining before but only in rare cases. A particular company in eastern Madagascar implemented the use of jet sprayers in the eighties.
Obviously suitable for Graphmada given its clay soil, monsoonal climate, small operation and cost-costing requirements.
What the company really needs now, though, is Mrs Doubtfire behind one of those water cannon guns. With the company's reputation in tatters for over-promising and under-delivering for years, it's hard to imagine that the market will give Bass the benefit of the doubt that they can pull off their grand plans to be a leading graphite producer in Madagascar.
The company is going to need a lot of luck, clever marketing and loads of money.
