While lithium, cobalt and, more recently, nickel have received much of the attention and the bulk of investment in new capacity globally, China has quietly led the way in the expanding graphite industry for the EV market.

The US has zero graphite mining or processing capacity geared towards the lithium ion battery industry... The US does not have any active US flake graphite mines nor capacity to produce anode material from this feedstock... Considering China's position across the entire graphite to EV value chain, secure supply of anode material is as big a risk as cobalt for US to consider.

Now, Dugsy, it is over to you to now research whether our particular graphite product is suitable for or targeted to battery anodes. My recollection is that it is not. However, that may not always be the case and the fact that the US doesn't produce graphite at all is a huge opportunity for Bass. Let Syrah and Walkabout target China. The Chinese are notoriously difficult to deal with anyway. Bass can concentrate it's dealings elsewhere... the rest of the world is a big place.
