Aside from the potential large offtakes eventuating from this MOU, it feels like a move to strengthen Talgas bargaining position.
We know Talga are being squeezed on price by the OEMs and EV manufacturers. What better way to shift the balance of power than to make public an MOU with a large company the other side of the world. It says "the whole world is interested, we're prepared to ship it to the other side of the world, and the supply is starting to be spoken for, better get some before its too late!".
I wouldn't be surprised if we see more MOUs being announced in the months to come before we finally see offtakes from the really big players.
