I have written a few posts on it on WR1 thread titled "sodium ion batteries" if interested.
Sodium has a future but it is not what the headlines make them out to be.
The hard anode used in sodium iron is 3x more expensive than graphite. However sodium iron doesn't work with graphite as the anode.
Graphite will always be used, both synthetic and natural. So will lithium. Sodium will be a very small percentage of EVs.
