Now, this is something. Suddenly, the study for a plant for the production of spheroidal battery-grade graphite has shifted up a gear.

Today's announcement tells us that a great deal of work has gone on behind the scenes in the recent past. For a start, the size of plant has quietly doubled - from a single 25K tonnes per unit, to two such units. And spheroidal graphite currently sells for US$7000 to US$10000 per tonne.

And where is that second 25K tonne per unit planned for? Answer: USA. Now, let me see, who in the US could want 25K tonnes per year of coated spheroidal battery-grade graphite - the stuff that is used in electric vehicles? Could SYR have been talking to someone currently building a plant in Nevada?
