just have a look at below extract from yesterday:




it is 86,500. I thought it was 86.500

that means that the ratio of Manganese over Iron goes from approx 3:1 (ore) to 6,600:1 !!!!!

in other words the co-solubility of Fe is insignificant, and therefore we are into high purity just from the leach go, as shown on the right box Liquor Purity 96.3%!!!, and this is before precipitation of carbonates and purification with either solvent or IEx resin......

certainly now they have applied lower sulphuric (as per the books), excessive sulfuric will solubilise everything, and the reagent.... sucrose? Oxalic acid? Molasses? It is organic...


I hope the Liquor purity is the result post leaching only, in which case, this is a breakthrough indeed. Well done JB. But I would have clarified that in black and white.

it is a massive reduction in gange and byproducts generation, and in consumables down the process.

comparison to August results below:

after leaching, we did solubilise Manganese, but still carrying a lot of Iron with it, (and possibly also more Si, Ca, Al) which is not reported.


so it is not good news, it is AMAZING news.
