Graphite recovery is next to impossible. It takes a lot of steps to get the right type of spherical graphite. Most of the right-sized flake graphite is being consumed in the production already and only a small fraction makes it into the cell. To recover it is nearly impossible because the graphite anode is used up and brittle and doesn't have the right flake size anymore. It's not a commodity you can melt and reproduce again like glass etc. It's like putting your granny back together once she's been cremated.
