Could be wrong on this, but my take is, that the Gov't in Myanmar would definitely like this project to succeed.

They are located next to China and most likely have figured out by now that they need foreign capital inflow, if they are going to develop a decent economy. They won't get the capital inflows they need if they mess foreign investors around.

MYL have got good local partners to go ahead with this now, so it is onward and up for mine.
