My reading of the company announcements of late is they are looking for value for shareholders but will likely exit Myanmar. Hopefully with a still respectable sale to an Asian entity and of course Chinese businesses are Asian as well as other countries. The Chinese won't be scared of the coup situation but they might want a good discount. Given the project value without sovereign risk is probably in the 40-70c range...finding a win win should not be impossible. Obviously they have to get enough for the sale to make it worthwhile or they are better off hanging on to it for sunnier days.

I reckon the announcement today was management releasing as much information allowed so that parties can best understand the value at hand.

If a corporate transaction were to occur, I hope that we stay in suspension until that point and obviously get the best price possible.
