    You certainly weren't lied to by the previous MD; I know who you are talking about and he was (and is) above board. As I understand it the problem with the Hellyer gold is that is very fine grained, which is why the plant didn't recover it very well originally. Remember that Hellyer was a fairly modern operation - 1989 to 2000 approximately. It is not some old timey deal where they didn't have modern technology.

    After that, Intec (INL) had it and did retreat some of the tailings to make a zinc product I believe, but their process recovered no gold and they stopped when the zinc price got low enough that they weren't turning a profit. They sold the whole shebang to Bass Metals (BSM) in 2008 for $4M and BSM in turn sold it to Ivy (a private company) in 2013 for $11M. I've got no insight into BCDs plans or prospects other than that.
