APPOINTMENT OF JAMIE GIBSON TO THE BOARD OF BC IRON LIMITED

Regent Pacific Group Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Jamie Gibson, the Chief Executive Officer of the Company, has been appointed to the Board of BC Iron Limited ("BC Iron") as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.
The Company is currently the second largest shareholder of BC Iron, holding 23.11 per cent. of its current issued share capital.
Jamie's appointment is in recognition of the Company's significant long term investment in BC Iron.
Following Jamie's appointment and in light of the Company's significant and strategic shareholding, the Company expects that it will equity account its investment going forward whereby the Group's consolidated financial statements will reflect its share (currently
23.11 per cent.) of the net profit or loss of BC Iron. In the event that the Company's investment in BC Iron is equity accounted from today, the Company would expect to record an unrealised loss for the period from 1 January 2012 to 13 July 2012 of approximately
A$2,579,000 (or approximately US$2,611,000 or HK$20,366,000).
