I must confess that I wasn't expecting an "interim dividend", so...

    I must confess that I wasn't expecting an "interim dividend", so I am also a happy little shareholder!!

    This got me thinking as to what dividend we might expect for FY13....

    OK, so last Sep, we got 15c for the FY12 - this year(FY13), we already have 5c and ,I would guess, we could get a further 10 to 15c dividend for the 2nd half of FY13 which will be declared later on in Sep.

    MY & Morgan Ball give us clues as to what we might expect:

    MY: "The Board is pleased to maintain a fully franked dividend return to our shareholders and, as always, will continue to assess our cash position with a view to maintaining this approach to dividends in the future.”

    Basically saying that they want to keep dividends flowing - as in the past.

    MB:"Given the positive iron ore pricing outlook, the Company may look to reduce this debt ahead of the planned schedule."

    This makes me think that if they make more than a "20c divi profit", then the balance will be used to pay off the debt early(?)
