    Given that Iron Ore closed on Friday at around US$112pt (AUD$172pt) I seriously doubt we shall be seeing prices for SALT of AUD$500 to AUD$1000 pt for some time......

    The last BCI Preso (see below) showed forecast pricing at SALT at US$62-67pt (AUD$100pt) so that's what my figures are currently based on........

    The interesting thing for me from this first 'binding Salt Offtake Agreement' is that its only for 300k tonnes in the first year, increasing to 300k tonnes in years two/three and beyond.

    Once BCI gets to nameplate capacity (???rolleyes.png) it will be producing 5.3mtpa of salt so it seems there are quiet a few more of these 'binding' agreements to execute....
