It seems to me to be an excellent deal all round - should keep everyone happy, even the asx.
We all should remember that these deals don't just happen by a bit of good luck.
The lady Ida deal was an incredible amount of hard work and intensive legal battles/appeals that culminated in a win/win for BCN and OBM.
Just have a read of the Wardens Court report - over 100 pages, awarding Lady Ida to us.
The commercial settlement was imminently sensible and we were very fortunate that GL could come up with the cash at that time - leave it longer with more costly legal appeals etc and the gold price rising could have meant that we missed out altogether.
Our Founders (sounds better than just Directors!) deserve every bit of compensation for this - I, personally, am very grateful for their efforts!
We, as shareholders now get the benefit of a very increased LOM with higher grades and really no direct up-front cost.
