Whoever was capping the stock (not saying it was him) only needed to sell tiny parcels to drop the price, then buy heaps more over the following days. So in reality, whoever it was wouldn't show that they had less shares as their total would actually go up. I'm thinking it's more Colin or day traders than the directors, but no one knows what arrangements people have with each other either. Not saying anything untoward is going on, but just saying we don't know the full story on anything any company directors get involved in. But we do know that people can drop the price to pick up more because a small sell of $100 worth of cheaper shares starts a mini landslide that can lead to thousands of dollars worth being snapped up at the new lower price. Rinse and repeat many times over a couple of years.
